Description

Delicious crispy lemon chicken, perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lbs chicken breast or thighs (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 eggs (large)
  • 0 cup cornstarch
  • 0 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0 tsp salt
  • 0 tsp white pepper
  • 0 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 0 cup sugar
  • 0 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated)

Instructions

  1. Coat chicken pieces in beaten eggs seasoned with salt and white pepper.
  2. Dredge chicken in cornstarch and flour mixture until fully coated.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F and fry chicken in batches until golden and crispy.
  4. Drain fried chicken on a wire rack.
  5. Combine lemon juice, zest, sugar, broth, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch in a saucepan.
  6. Cook sauce over medium heat until thick and glossy.
  7. Toss chicken with sauce or spoon sauce over chicken just before serving.
