- 1 loaf French baguette or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
- Slice the bread lengthwise, then cut into smaller portions if desired.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until smooth.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut side of each bread piece.
- Place the bread on the baking sheet, buttered side up.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Optional: Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for a crunchier top. Watch closely.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
