Description

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French baguette or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
  2. Slice the bread lengthwise, then cut into smaller portions if desired.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until smooth.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut side of each bread piece.
  5. Place the bread on the baking sheet, buttered side up.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Optional: Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for a crunchier top. Watch closely.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
