Description

A delicious recipe featuring tilapia fillets cooked in a flavorful roasted red pepper sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0 tsp ground cumin
  • salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup roasted red peppers
  • 0 cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season tilapia fillets with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook tilapia 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté onion in the same skillet until soft, then add garlic.
  4. Add roasted peppers and broth, simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Blend sauce until smooth, then return to skillet.
  6. Stir in lemon juice and honey, adjust seasoning.
  7. Return tilapia to sauce and simmer for 3–5 minutes.

Notes

  • This recipe can be served with rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
  • Feel free to substitute tilapia with any other mild white fish if desired.
