Description

This slow cooker honey sriracha chicken is a sweet and spicy dish that’s perfect for dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 3 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast (4 large)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 cup butter, cut in slices

Instructions

  1. In a 6-quart slow cooker, add the honey, sriracha sauce, and brown sugar. Mix well with a fork.
  2. Add chicken breasts and poke a few times.
  3. Sprinkle with salt, paprika, garlic powder, pepper, and chili powder.
  4. Add the butter slices over the chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours. Check the internal temperature after 4 hours, the chicken should be at least 165°F to be considered done.
  6. Take the chicken breasts out of the slow cooker and place in a large bowl.
  7. Use 2 forks to shred the chicken.
  8. Add back to the slow cooker and mix well into the sauce to fully coat.
  9. Cover and cook on LOW for 15-20 minutes and serve.
