Description

This baked salmon with paprika glaze is easy to prepare and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp coarse kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400℉ (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up. Spray with cooking spray.
  2. Combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel and then place salmon skin side down on the sheet pan. Coat the salmon in the olive oil and add the paprika mixture on top.
  4. Rub top of salmon until the spice mix evenly coats the salmon.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Cook time will vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets.

Notes

  • I suggest using a center-cut fillet for even cooking.
  • Use ¼ tsp of salt if using fine table salt.
