Description

This grilled chicken recipe features a zesty citrus marinade that infuses flavor and keeps the chicken juicy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts (Boneless, skinless)
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice (Freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice (Freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil (Can substitute avocado oil)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (Fresh minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin (Can substitute coriander)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (Regular paprika can be used)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano (Can use fresh oregano)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper (Adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (Adjust to desired heat)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro (For garnish)
  • 2 pieces Lime Wedges (For serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne until well combined.
  2. Place chicken in a resealable bag, pour the marinade over, seal it tightly, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours—preferably 4-6 hours.
  3. Heat your grill to medium-high, around 375°F to 400°F (190°C to 200°C).
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade and discard any excess liquid. Grill each side for 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Transfer the grilled chicken to a platter and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate the chicken for 4-6 hours to enhance the flavor.
  • Adjust seasoning to your taste preference, especially the cayenne for heat.
