Description

A delicious creamy dip packed with cheese and flavors, perfect for serving with garlic bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (8-ounces) cream cheese (softened to room temperature (brick-style, full-fat))
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (plus more if needed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 jar pizza sauce (Rao’s recommended)
  • 1 cup freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly shredded sharp cheddar
  • 16 pepperoni slices
  • Hot honey (optional, for serving)
  • Pesto (or fresh herbs, optional for serving)
  • 1 baguette (cut into ½ inch diagonal slices)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • garlic powder (added to taste)
  • Italian seasoning (added to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Arrange the sliced baguette on a large sheet pan. Brush one side lightly with olive oil and season to taste with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Flip each slice and repeat on the other side.
  3. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  4. Reduce the oven heat to 350°F.
  5. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, salt, garlic powder, and oregano. Beat with hand mixers until smooth and fully combined.
  6. Spread this mixture evenly into an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  7. Carefully spoon the pizza sauce over the top. Add the cheddar cheese, then the mozzarella. Arrange the pepperoni slices over the cheese and sprinkle with a pinch of oregano.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and the cheese is golden.
  9. If desired, drizzle some hot honey and/or pesto/fresh herbs on top. Serve immediately with the garlic bread.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, consider adding sliced jalapeños to the dip.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
