Description

Delicious chocolate lava cakes with mixed berries, perfect for a dessert treat!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs until light and frothy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Fold melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Sift in flour and fold gently until combined.
  5. Gently mix in the berries.
  6. Divide batter among ramekins, filling each three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are firm but centers jiggle.
  8. Let cool for one minute; dust with powdered sugar before serving.
